rúne is a self-produced female Neo Soul/R&B vocalist and songwriter. She melds hip hop beats with jazz musicianship, gospel-inspired harmonies, electronic elements and catchy vocal melodies. Her recently released album, Soularium , was written, performed, recorded and produced by her in her home studio, with a number of tracks featuring keyboardist Jonny Tobin. Her music and lyrics are often described as soulful, raw, insightful and emotive, and having a sound similar to artists like Charlotte Day Wilson, Jorja Smith, Greentea Peng, Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, Cleo Sol, HER, Hiatus Kaiyote and Moonchild.

Performance highlights include The Fox Cabaret, The Local Festival sponsored by FACTOR Canada , Enliven Festival , Freq Fest Costa Rica 2022 & 2023, El Mocambo Toronto , Guilt & Co , Name It Yourself Festival, YVR Showcase curated by 604 Records, Studio Records Hiphop Showcase, 2nd Floor Gastown, Cleveland Tavern and The Stew Jams. She usually performs with a full live band or secondarily with a DJ.  

rúne was trained in classical/Opera and Gospel voice, as well as Jazz and classical piano/theory through the Royal Conservatory of Music and VCC Music. She also has a diploma from Nimbus School of Recording and Media in Music Production and has worked extensively in the entertainment industry for her whole life, starting out as a child actor to support her family. She has previously performed and released music under the name of Taylor Harlow.
